  INTRODUCTION:  
     
 

The KEM Hospital is a teaching hospital, with students coming from all over the country for post-graduate studies.

 

The library serves as a quiet venue where the students attending these courses come to study and to search for reference material.

 

 
 
 

The library has a collection of the latest books and journals in almost every medical specialty and super-specialty. Presently it houses a collection of over 12,000 books - a collection that is continuously expanded. Besides the standard medical textbooks, there are many excellent national and international journals.

  
     
  FACILITIES:  
     
 

The library has a spacious, well-ventilated Reading Room besides a Seminar Room that is used for holding meetings and group discussions by the consultants and resident doctors. Computers with broadband Internet access are also available.

 
     
 

The library of the KEM Hospital is located on the 5th Floor of the Banoo Coyaji Building. It is open on all days from Monday to Saturday, except national holidays, between 9.00 a.m and 5.00 p.m. The Reading Room is also open on all days between 9.00 a.m and 11.00 p.m.
